Texas: Governor Abbott Appoints Bowers To State Soil And Water Conservation Board

~ In a recent announcement, Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Lindsey Bowers to the State Soil and Water Conservation Board for a term that will end on February 1, 2028. Bowers, a resident of Inez, brings a wealth of experience to the Board as a grain merchandiser with United Ag and a farmer alongside her family.

Bowers is also actively involved in various agricultural organizations, serving as secretary and treasurer for the South Texas Country Elevator Association and being a member of the South Texas Cotton and Grain Association, Texas Corn Producers, and Texas Sorghum. She is also dedicated to supporting youth in agriculture through her involvement with the Victoria Livestock Show's poultry committee and the El Campo FFA Booster Club's sponsorship committee. Additionally, she co-chairs the St. Philip Pioneer Booster Club.

Bowers holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business from Texas A&M University. As a member of the State Soil and Water Conservation Board, she will play an important role in administering Texas' soil and water conservation law and coordinating conservation efforts throughout the state.
