Bloomington: City Accepting Applications for Neighborhood Traffic Calming Projects

Rezul News/10735326
~ The City of Bloomington is offering residents the opportunity to participate in the 2026 Resident-Led Traffic Calming Program. This program, which can be accessed through the link bton.in/yf6f3, aims to enhance safety and decrease vehicle speeds on residential streets.

Since its inception six years ago, the program has been successful in assisting various neighborhoods in Bloomington with implementing traffic calming measures such as speed humps. These measures have resulted in a noticeable reduction in speed and an overall safer environment for residents. The most recent project supported by the program was the installation of traffic calming improvements on W. 11th Street from Monroe Street to Maple Street, which was completed earlier this month.
