Spokane: Funding Available for Tourism and Culture Investment Grants
Rezul News/10745637
~ The City of Spokane is offering a new opportunity for organizations to enhance the city's tourism and cultural scene. The Spokane Tourism and Cultural Investment (TACI) grants are now available for interested applicants, as announced by Erin Hut, the Communications Director for the city.
The main objective of this program is to attract more visitors to Spokane and support its cultural offerings. The funding for these grants comes from state law RCW 67.28.1817, which imposes a lodging excise tax on hotels per night. The revenue generated from this tax will be used to fund initiatives that promote tourism in the city.

To assist potential applicants, a prerecorded workshop providing technical assistance is available. Any additional questions can be sent to taciapp@spokanecity.org by Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 5 p.m.
Interested organizations must submit their applications by Thursday, Oct. 15 at 5 p.m. The funding will be awarded through a public process that includes submission, review, and evaluation of applications via the City of Spokane's online portal.
