Fire suppression companies quickly deployed a handline and were able to extinguish the fire in the attic. Crews then worked to overhaul the area and ensure that any hidden embers were fully extinguished.

The Naperville Fire Department received assistance from both the Naperville Police Department and Bolingbrook Fire Department at the scene. The estimated damage to the residence is $100,000. After conducting an investigation into the cause of the fire, it was determined to be accidental.
