Rezul News/10736818
ANNAPOLIS, MD (June 2, 2026) ~ Annapolis, MD - As summer approaches, Maryland's Best is launching a new campaign called "Eat Well. Buy Local." and unveiling an updated logo. The campaign aims to promote and support small farms by encouraging residents and visitors to seek out locally grown and sourced products when dining out or grilling at home.

Established in 2002 under the Maryland Department of Agriculture's Marketing Department, Maryland's Best has grown over the past 24 years to include seafood, value-added agriculture, and agritourism businesses. With approximately 1,000 members, the program serves as a marketing tool for these industries. The new logo for 2026 features bold and vibrant colors that are more food-friendly and serve as a direct call to action for consumers to choose local products.

According to Secretary of Agriculture Kevin Atticks, Maryland's Best is more than just a logo - it serves as a connection between consumers and the hardworking farmers and watermen who provide the food we enjoy every day. The program's website, MarylandsBest.net, offers a free resource for consumers to find local restaurants, retailers, and farmers markets near them that serve locally sourced products. It also features on-farm experiences, summer recipes using local ingredients, and a list of restaurants committed to serving Maryland-grown foods and drinks.
