Georgia: Gov. Kemp: Rideout Arsenal Bringing $22M, 120 New Jobs to Thomas Co.
Rezul News/10737535
ATLANTA ~ In a recent announcement, Governor Brian P. Kemp revealed that Rideout Arsenal, a firearms designer and manufacturer, will be investing $22 million in a new manufacturing facility in Thomasville. This move is expected to create 120 new jobs over the next several years.
Governor Kemp expressed his excitement about the company's decision to choose Georgia as their new home. He stated, "Georgia attracts job creators from all over the country and world because we work with them, not against them." He also highlighted the state's pro-business approach, skilled workforce, and support for constitutional freedoms as key factors in attracting companies like Rideout Arsenal.
Rideout Arsenal, currently based in the United States, specializes in high-performance competition pistols. Founders Travis and Kelsey Rideout shared their pride in manufacturing innovative firearms in America using a localized supply chain built around trusted domestic partners, suppliers, and skilled labor. They also expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome they have received from Thomasville.
The decision to relocate to Georgia was not originally planned by Rideout Arsenal. However, recent anti-gun legislation in Virginia created uncertainty for the company and ultimately led them to search for a state where they could continue operating with confidence. The founders are excited to bring new jobs and manufacturing investment to Thomas County.
