The first bill signed was HB26-1009, also known as the Colorado Mandatory Lethality Assessment Act. Governor Polis emphasized the importance of this law in preventing tragic instances of domestic violence. He thanked the sponsors for their unwavering efforts to support victims of domestic violence.

Next, Governor Polis signed HB26-1256, sponsored by Representatives Jamie Jackson and Javier Mabrey, and Senator Lisa Cutter.
