Aberdeen has unveiled plans for one of the most significant capital improvement projects in its history – all without a capital assessment
BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - Rezul -- Aberdeen Golf & Country Club has unveiled plans for a $77 million, multi-phase renovation, representing one of the most significant capital improvement projects in the Club's history. Scheduled to begin in March 2027 and conclude in October 2029, the transformation will modernize key amenities throughout the Club while preserving the character, traditions, and sense of community that define Aberdeen. The project is also structured so members will not be subject to a capital assessment.
The project includes a reimagined Main Clubhouse with expanded dining, social, and recreational amenities; a new three-story North Clubhouse and Golf Operations Facility; a completely rebuilt Activities Center; and a new guardhouse designed to enhance privacy and security.
"This project marks a defining moment in Aberdeen's history," said Seth Lane, Board President of Aberdeen Golf & Country Club. "Our Board and management have spent years listening to our members, studying industry trends, and planning carefully for the future. The result is a renovation that preserves what our members love about Aberdeen while creating new spaces and experiences that will serve our community for decades to come."

The centerpiece of the project will be the renovation of Aberdeen's Main Clubhouse, which houses the Panache dining room, Sunset Lounge & Bar, Golf Pro Shop, card rooms, and bocce facilities. The transformation will introduce a new second-floor restaurant with a state-of-the-art kitchen and outdoor balcony dining overlooking the golf course and lake. It will also renovate the popular Panache dining room and expand the Club's main card room. Three new covered, well-lit bocce courts built to competitive standards will further enhance the Club's social and recreational amenities.
The existing cart barn and bag room will be replaced by a new three-story North Clubhouse, serving as the hub of golf operations and connecting to the Main Clubhouse via a two-tier breezeway. The facility will include a new Golf Pro Shop, a sub-level cart barn, and a second-floor multipurpose venue for performances, special events, and member activities.
Aberdeen's current Activities Center will also be completely rebuilt from the ground up to better support the Club's active lifestyle. The new facility will offer flexible meeting and gathering spaces, a dedicated game room, and enhanced functionality for clubs, committees, and special events.

"Our goal is to ensure that Aberdeen remains one of South Florida's premier private club communities," said Jeffrey Riegler, Chief Operating Officer and General Manager. "As Aberdeen prepares for this exciting new chapter, the transformation reflects a thoughtfully planned, clear vision that honors the Club's proud heritage and creates exceptional new spaces to enrich the member experience for generations to come."
An experienced team of professionals is leading the renovation, comprising Mouw Associates, Inc., the general contractor; Currie Sowards Aguila Architects, the project architect; Manhas Design, the interior designer; and NV5, the owner's representative and project manager.
Construction will proceed in phases to minimize disruption for members. The Club notes that additional details, including construction schedules and member communications, will be shared as planning progresses. The Club will continue to provide updates throughout the project to keep members informed and engaged at each stage.
