Texas: Governor Abbott Marks Historic Opening Of Bob's House Of Hope
Rezul News/10741647
~ Governor Greg Abbott, along with other state officials and anti-human trafficking advocates, attended the grand opening of Bob's House of Hope today. This marks the nation's first safe house exclusively for male survivors of human trafficking.
In his speech, Governor Abbott praised Texas for leading the fight against human trafficking and child sex trafficking. He also commended Ranch Hands Rescue and Bob's House of Hope for providing a beacon of hope to victims in need. The Governor emphasized that their model of care can be replicated across the country, giving every survivor the chance to reclaim their future.
During the event, Governor Abbott highlighted Texas' aggressive efforts to combat human trafficking and strengthen protections for survivors. He mentioned recent laws that have been signed to increase penalties for traffickers and eliminate parole for those who target children or disabled individuals. These measures aim to ensure that traffickers face tougher consequences while survivors receive the necessary support and protection.
