Texas: Governor Abbott Appoints Deleon To State Commission On Judicial Conduct

~ In a recent announcement, Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Martin "Ringo" Deleon, Jr. to the State Commission on Judicial Conduct for a term that will end on December 31, 2027. This commission is responsible for regulating the behavior of judges in the state and has the authority to recommend disciplinary actions such as retirement, censure, suspension or removal from office.

Deleon, a resident of Corpus Christi, brings almost four decades of law enforcement experience to this role. He currently serves as a police officer and gang investigator for the Corpus Christi Police Department. In addition to his work in law enforcement, Deleon is also highly involved in various organizations related to his field. He is the president of the Texas Gang Investigators Association and a board member of the National Alliance of Gang Investigators Association. He has also previously served on the Advisory Committee to the Texas Board of Criminal Justice on Offenders with Medical or Mental Impairments.
