Texas: Governor Abbott Appoints Cook As District Attorney For The 69th Judicial District In Dallam, Hartley, Moore, And Sherman Counties

~ In a recent announcement, Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Cullen Cook as the new District Attorney for the 69th Judicial District in Dallam, Hartley, Moore, and Sherman Counties. Cook's term is set to expire on December 31, 2028, or until his successor is elected and qualified.

Cook, a resident of Dalhart, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He currently serves as an assistant district attorney for the 69th Judicial District Attorney's Office and previously worked as an assistant district attorney for the Collin County District Attorney's Office.

A member of both the State Bar of Texas and the Texas District & County Attorneys Association, Cook is well-versed in the legal system. He also holds positions on the board of CASA 69, Inc. and the Dallam Hartley Hospital District Foundation.

In addition to his legal work, Cook is an active member of his community. He is involved with organizations such as the Dalhart Rotary and Dumas Lion's Club. Cook holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Philosophy, a Master of Business Administration, and a Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University. With his extensive background and dedication to public service, Cook is sure to make a positive impact as District Attorney for the 69th Judicial District.
