Texas: Governor Abbott Announces Senior Staff Leadership Additions

~ In a recent announcement, Governor Greg Abbott revealed two new additions to his senior staff. Stephanie Greger has been appointed as Deputy Chief of Staff, while Nate Schatzline will serve as Senior Advisor to the Governor.
According to Governor Abbott, Greger brings a wealth of experience and a sharp legal mind to the team. He stated, "I have long valued Stephanie's advice and counsel and look forward to having her back on my leadership team." Greger previously served as General Counsel for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ), where she oversaw the agency's legal division and acted as the chief legal advisor for both TDCJ and the Texas Board of Criminal Justice. She also served as Deputy General Counsel for Governor Abbott, providing guidance on criminal justice policy and legal matters pertaining to state government.
Before joining state service, Greger had an extensive career as a prosecutor with the Nueces County District Attorney's Office. During this time, she gained significant trial experience. She later became the Criminal Division Chief for the Williamson County Attorney's Office, where she oversaw complex criminal cases and prosecutorial operations. Greger holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and History from Texas A&M University and a Juris Doctorate from Baylor Law School.

Nate Schatzline has been appointed as Senior Advisor to Governor Abbott. In his statement, Governor Abbott praised Schatzline as a dedicated conservative leader with a proven track record in fighting for election integrity. He said, "His experience in the Texas House and service in the Trump Administration will be a tremendous asset as we protect the voices of Texas voters." Schatzline previously served as State Representative for House District 93 and has a strong record of conservative leadership.
As Senior Advisor to the Governor, Schatzline will lead policy development and legislative strategy efforts related to election integrity. He most recently served as Senior Director at the National Faith Advisory Board in the Trump Administration and is also a member of the advisory board for The Justice Reform, a Fort Worth-based anti-human trafficking nonprofit. Schatzline holds a bachelor's degree from Southwestern Assemblies of God University and a master's degree in political science from Liberty University.
With these two key additions to his senior staff, Governor Abbott continues to build a strong team to lead Texas forward. Both Greger and Schatzline bring valuable experience and expertise to their new roles, and their appointments have been met with positive reactions from the public.
