TWC Chairman Joe Esparza also praised the collaboration between Workforce Solutions Permian Basin, 19 healthcare facilities, and seven educational institutions. He believes that this partnership is a prime example of how working together can improve the lives of Texans for generations to come.

During a ceremony held at Odessa College earlier today, Chairman Esparza presented the award to representatives from Workforce Solutions Permian Basin, partner colleges, and other local partners.

The SDF grant program is a part of the state's efforts to upskill new or incumbent workers. In collaboration with public community and technical colleges, workforce development boards, and Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service, TWC provides customized training to businesses of all sizes.

Since its inception in 1996, the SDF grant program has partnered with over 5,000 employers and created over 446,000 jobs throughout Texas by providing training opportunities. This latest grant award is expected to further contribute towards strengthening the state's workforce.
