Sommelier Tahiirah Habibi Debuts Wine-ish App Just in Time for Fall
Rezul News/10748366
The newly released platform bridges the gap between casual wine enthusiasts, industry professionals, and corporate hosts while pioneering cultural access in beverage hospitality.
ATLANTA - Rezul -- Renowned sommelier, founder, and cultural innovator Tahiirah Habibi announces the official release of the Wine-ish App, a mobile companion designed to make wine culture accessible, engaging, and practical for every level of enthusiast. Removing the pretension of the luxury wine world, the platform delivers an intuitive suite of tools for casual drinkers, hospitality professionals, and corporate hosts.
Origin: Demystifying Wine & Community Ownership
The foundation of Wine-ish began in 2018 when Habibi—a 15-year luxury wine veteran and founder of The Hue Society—set out to build a blueprint for cultural literacy and inclusion. Trademarked in 2021, the app acts as a digital "cheat code" for users to navigate complex wine lists and own their table with confidence.
Faced with systemic funding disparities—where Black women founders received just 0.34% of U.S. venture capital according to Crunchbase data—Habibi bypassed traditional venture capital, funding and expanding the platform through independent tech development and direct community backing.

"Wine has never just been about what's in the glass—it's language, culture, power, and access," said Tahiirah Habibi, Founder of Wine-ish. "When a 20-page wine list hits the table, people feel intimidated. We built Wine-ish so anyone can scan a menu, understand their palate, and move through any room with confidence without needing to memorize a textbook."
