~ In a historic move, Governor Katie Hobbs of Arizona has signed the Arizona First budget into law, delivering a $1.4 billion tax cut for working families. The budget also includes a three-year moratorium on data center tax credits and investments in border security, healthcare, public safety, and education.
Governor Hobbs expressed her excitement about the bipartisan budget, stating that it will benefit middle-class Arizonans by providing them with more financial stability. She highlighted some of the key changes that will take effect on July 1st, including no taxes on tips and overtime, a higher standard deduction, and a deduction for seniors. Additionally, next year will see an expansion of the child tax credit.
The governor emphasized her commitment to cutting taxes every year she has been in office and acknowledged the struggles that families face due to Washington's policies. She believes that this tax cut will help alleviate some of the financial burdens faced by working-class families in Arizona.
