(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ The City of Columbia Parking Utility has announced that starting at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 15, parking permits will be available for three downtown parking garages and two surface parking lots. These permits will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis and are limited in quantity.
The available locations for these permits include the Sixth and Cherry Parking Garage, Fifth and Walnut Parking Garage, Eighth and Walnut Plaza Parking Garage, Armory Sports Center Parking Lot, and Ninth and Ash Streets Parking Lot.
There are various permit options for each location. The Sixth and Cherry Parking Garage offers a monthly permit for $80, a quarterly permit for $235 (three months), and an annual permit for $885 (12 months). Similarly, the Fifth and Walnut Parking Garage also offers these same options.

It is important to note that these permits are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Waitlists are not available for any of the parking garages or lots.
Permit holders have the option to renew their permits as long as their invoices remain current. However, those seeking parking for an academic term should select either a monthly or three-month permit as school-year permits are not available.
All parking garage permits will be issued as RFID-enabled hang tags which allow holders to enter and exit individual garages. Once inside the garage, it is important to park in designated areas specifically marked for permit holders. It is advised not to park in spaces designated for hourly or reserved parking.
Permits can be purchased online through the City of Columbia's website. To check availability and purchase a permit, individuals can visit CoMo.gov/parking and follow the instructions under "Standard parking garage or lot permits."
When a permit is no longer needed, the RFID hang tag must be returned to City Hall at 701 E. Broadway. Failure to return the hang tag will result in a $25 fee.
For any questions or concerns regarding parking permits, individuals can contact the City of Columbia at 573.874.CITY (2489) or via email at create new email. Don't miss out on this opportunity to secure your downtown parking spot!
