Kuester Management Group Offers Insight for Strengthening HOA Management Relationships
Rezul News/10670585
Kuester Management Group share tips on how the HOA board and management company can work together more effectively.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Rezul -- The HOA board takes on a significant amount of responsibility in running the daily operations of the association and also planning for the future. Partnering with an HOA management company can provide welcome support and guidance in meeting the organization's needs and goals. Kuester Management Group has released a statement to the press regarding how the board can strengthen its relationship with the HOA management company to enhance value.
"The management company is there to help the board and enable them to focus on tasks that cannot be delegated," says Bryan Kuester, President of Kuester Management Group. "Engaging in open and honest communication is essential for a beneficial partnership. Both sides should know what is expected and keep dialogue going to make adjustments and ensure everyone is on the same page."

The board should be clear about areas where it needs support, whether that is managing collections, overseeing vendors, enforcing rules, or responding to homeowner questions, says Kuester. Collaborate with the HOA management company on where their services align with the association's needs, can fill gaps, and can be most valuable.
If issues arise or there are concerns, the board should address them with the community manager. The manager can't fix something they don't know is a problem. Avoid casting blame, but instead work together to find a solution and mitigate future issues. The board should ensure that the management company has access to necessary resources to do what is being asked for and provide quality support to the association.
"It is a good idea to schedule regular check-ins," says Kuester. "Both the board and community manager can share ideas, concerns, and areas for improvement to keep everyone satisfied. Ask the management company for insight regarding upcoming projects, events, or decisions and take advantage of the wealth of knowledge and resources they can provide. This also helps with managing requirements and expectations to maximize productivity."
