Alex Morgan holds a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia and a NASM Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) credential from the National Academy of Sports Medicine, active since 2017. Prior to joining JoinRCMP.ca, Morgan spent three years coaching 150+ clients across Vancouver-area fitness facilities, working with individuals on strength development, cardiovascular conditioning, and return-to-training after injury.

Morgan joined JoinRCMP.ca in January 2021 with a specific mandate: translate RCMP fitness standards into structured, progressive training programs that working applicants can follow. The focus reflects a real gap in available resources. Most RCMP applicants are not full-time athletes. They prepare for scored fitness benchmarks while managing jobs, studies, and family commitments — and generic gym programming rarely accounts for those constraints.

"RCMP fitness preparation is different from standard conditioning work," said Morgan. "Applicants need to hit specific scored benchmarks on a specific date, then survive Depot's physical training block. The programming has to reflect both of those demands."

Since 2021, Morgan has authored and contributed to JoinRCMP.ca's core fitness resources, including the RCMP Fitness Standards & Training reference guide, the Official 4-Level RCMP Fitness Training Program, the RCMP Functional Strength and Conditioning Program, a dedicated preparation guide for women targeting RCMP fitness assessments, and a detailed breakdown of Depot physical training demands.

JoinRCMP.ca is used by thousands of RCMP applicants across Canada each month. The platform covers the full application process, from eligibility and testing to fitness preparation and Depot readiness. Morgan's fitness content sits within the site's RCMP Fitness Standards section, one of its most visited areas.
