Columbia: Road closure on East Walnut Street, June 8-12

(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia residents can expect some traffic disruptions and sidewalk closures on East Walnut Street starting Monday, June 8. According to a press release from TBK Real Estate LLC, the contractor for Rave Homes, the street will be closed between Short Street and Hubbell Drive from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Friday, June 12. The closure is necessary for exterior building repairs at 1200 E. Walnut St., including glass replacement, tuckpointing, and painting. Pedestrians will be directed to safe crossing locations as the south sidewalk will also be closed. Drivers are advised to use North Tenth Street and East Broadway as detour routes during this time. The project is expected to be completed by Friday evening, weather permitting.
