Collaboration between Elevant and Enlighted Provides Self-funding COVID-Response Strategy for CRE Owners

The expanded agreement integrates Elevant's outstanding solutions stack with the Enlighted safer workplace solutions to help building owners and occupants securely sanitize their environment, monitor occupancy, measure building health and safety return to work, with the solution able to fund itself.

Through increased operational efficiencies in utility and maintenance, combined with the safest return to work protocols, adopters of this technology will yield high returns on investment, and cost savings that are measured and verified in real-time.

The solutions suite will use IoT technology from Enlighted. Enlighted's award-winning IoT platform is already installed across 320 million square feet of buildings globally. With the recent release of Safe, a workplace digital contact tracing application, employees can return safely to their buildings. The Safe application provides digital contact history for employees who self-report testing positive for COVID-19 to help reduce the spread of infection, keep healthy employees safe and productive, and eliminate the tedious, expensive and error-prone manual contact tracing process for employers. The Safe application is now available through Elevant.

"This expanded agreement will create a significant opportunity to future-proof buildings with IoT technology," said John Romano, vice president of channel and product sales at Enlighted, a Siemens company. "By creating a sensory system that provides real-time data, the Enlighted platform can change at-work experiences to ensure a safe environment during COVID-19 and beyond."

Enlighted's platform provides employers with location and proximity data to identify who an infected employee came in contact with inside the workplace, for how long and what areas they visited. The data is used to inform employees who might be at risk of infection and also drives sanitization efforts in areas the infected employee utilized. The application's dashboard provides information on contacts in the building to assist management in developing safer workplace strategies. Additionally, Safe identifies how many close contacts are happening in a time period and location to proactively manage risk. New customers can install the Enlighted IoT system through sensors in LED lighting or through the new USB-powered surface sensor, which can be easily applied under desks or in conference rooms.
