BEACON, N.Y. - Feb. 9, 2019 - Rezul -- YMCA Summer Camp: Employment Available

Attention Orange County New York Students

YMCA Summer Day Camp Counselors must be 18 years of age. As a general function, the camp counselor is the primary staff person working with a small group of children and is responsible for leading activities with the groups during the program.

Position qualifications include experience in:
- day camping,
- recreation,
- physical education,
- teaching
- or child care.

Ideal candidates should possess skills in:
- teaching crafts,
- songs, stories, games,
- sports,
- along with leadership skills.

All counselors are expected to devise ways to integrate The Core Values (Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, Caring) into the camp day.

This opportunity is ideal for students enrolled in, but not limited to, the following majors:
- Physical Education,
- Recreation,
- Early Childhood Education,
- Health Education,
- Inclusive Childhood Education,
- Art Education,
- Music, Theatre,
- Sports studies,
