TORONTO - Rezul -- TORONTO, Ontario - Home Painters Pro, a Toronto interior painting company, has published its 2026 Toronto Interior Painting Cost Report, drawing on the company's in-house quote-book data to show what homeowners across the Greater Toronto Area actually pay to repaint their homes this year.
According to the report, whole-home interior painting in Toronto runs $1.80 to $3.00 CAD per square foot of wall area, plus 13% HST. Most standard Toronto homes land between $3,000 and $12,000 before tax, and the most common two-storey detached house comes in at $7,000 to $15,000. Single rooms are priced closer to $5.00 per square foot, since setup and preparation hours barely change whether a painter coats one wall or twenty.
Room by room, the company's 2026 figures put a small bedroom at $400 to $650, a medium bedroom at $550 to $850, and a master bedroom at $850 to $1,300.

The report's central finding is that square footage explains far less of a quote than most homeowners expect. Preparation work, ceiling height, trim density, and whether a painter has priced for one coat or the two coats a wall actually needs account for most of the spread.
