Rezul News/10742331
~ Downtown Mesa has officially welcomed its newest addition, The 233 Suites, with a grand ribbon-cutting ceremony at 233 E. Main St. This boutique hotel, operating under the Unscripted by Hyatt brand, boasts 76 luxurious rooms and is a key component of one of the city's most highly anticipated redevelopment projects.
The hotel's prime location anchors the redevelopment project alongside popular establishments such as Crust Simply Italian, Bombolino's Café, and The Nightingale speakeasy. In addition, the project includes 13,000 square feet of new class A office space. This development is a testament to Mesa's growing popularity as a destination for tourists and visitors.
Mesa Mayor Mark Freeman expressed his excitement about the opening of The 233 Suites, stating that it not only meets the increasing demand for accommodations in the city but also contributes to the growth of its downtown economy. He emphasized that every new hotel room supports local businesses such as restaurants, shops, and entertainment venues while creating job opportunities for residents. Mayor Freeman believes that this project is just the beginning of what's to come for downtown Mesa.

The newly opened Hyatt hotel offers guests a range of amenities including fully equipped kitchens in each room, meeting spaces for collaboration, fitness facilities, guest laundry services, and a pool. Crust Simply Italian provides dinner service while Bombolino's Café offers breakfast options as well as grab-and-go items such as coffee and gelato. Lunch service is also available at Bombolino's.

With world-class museums, theaters, and event spaces just steps away from the hotel, visitors can now enjoy a convenient stay while experiencing all that downtown Mesa has to offer. Duff also noted that residents will benefit from new dining options and gathering places, further enhancing the unique local experience of downtown Mesa.
The success of this redevelopment project is a result of the collaboration and shared vision of all parties involved. After the original project faced setbacks during bankruptcy proceedings, Soltrust and Hospitality Capital Partners took over as co-managers and transformed the planned apartment development into a boutique hotel under the Unscripted by Hyatt brand. Keith Mishkin, Managing Partner of Hospitality Capital Partners, expressed his gratitude to the City of Mesa for their support throughout the process. He also highlighted the creativity and persistence required to bring this unique mixed-use development to life.
