Texas: Governor Abbott Reappoints Asel Presiding Officer Of Alamo Regional Mobility Authority

~ In a recent announcement, Governor Greg Abbott has reappointed John Asel as the presiding officer of the Alamo Regional Mobility Authority (RMA). Asel, who hails from Helotes, will serve in this role until February 1, 2028.

The RMA is a political subdivision that works closely with local transportation planning and project delivery leaders to collaborate with the state in delivering transportation infrastructure projects for Bexar County.

Asel brings over 30 years of experience as a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to his position. He is currently the chairman and managing member of Asel & Associates, PLLC. He is also an active member of both the Texas Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs.

In addition to his professional achievements, Asel is also co-chairman of The Tobin Endowment. He holds a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from New Mexico State University. With his extensive expertise and dedication to serving his community, Asel is well-equipped to continue leading the Alamo RMA towards success.
