Texas: Governor Abbott Appoints Rucker As Injured Employee Public Counsel

~ Governor Greg Abbott has recently appointed Robert Rucker to serve on the Injured Employee Public Counsel for a term that will end on February 1, 2027. Rucker, a resident of Cedar Park, brings a wealth of experience to this role as he currently serves as the general counsel for the Office of Injured Employee Counsel. Prior to this position, he worked as an assistant general counsel for the Texas Department of Insurance. With his extensive legal background and knowledge of the workers' compensation system, Rucker is well-equipped to assist injured employees in navigating their claims and advocating on their behalf. He is also a member of both the State Bar of Texas and the Iowa State Bar Association. Rucker holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from The University of Texas at Austin and a Juris Doctor from St. Mary's University School of Law.
