Rezul News/10719403
~ In a recent press release, Governor Greg Abbott announced that the Office of the Governor's Public Safety Office is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for any information leading to the arrest of Bobby Michael Dennis. Dennis is wanted for his involvement in the shooting of a Jacksonville police officer and K-9 who were both wounded.

According to the Jacksonville Police Department, warrants were issued yesterday for Dennis' arrest on charges of Aggravated Assault Against a Public Servant and Interference with a Police Service Animal. The Texas Department of Public Safety has also added Dennis to their 10 Most Wanted Fugitives List.

Governor Abbott expressed his concern over the attack on law enforcement officers, stating that "attacks on our men and women in uniform must stop." He emphasized that those who risk their lives every day to serve and protect must know they have the full support of the state of Texas. The governor urged anyone with information about this crime to come forward by calling the Texas Crime Stoppers hotline or submitting an anonymous tip online.

The suspect, Bobby Michael Dennis, is described as a 64-year-old Black male, standing at approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 152 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair and should be considered armed and dangerous.

To be eligible for the cash rewards, tipsters can provide information through various methods such as calling the Texas Crime Stoppers hotline or submitting a web tip through the Texas 10 Most Wanted website. All tips will remain anonymous by law and tipsters will be given a tip number instead of using their name. It is important to note that fugitives should be considered armed and dangerous, so it is advised for Texans not to try to apprehend them.

Governor Abbott concluded by stating that Texas is a "law-and-order state" and that justice will be brought against Dennis for his heinous crime against a Jacksonville police officer and their K-9. He reassured the public that the full weight of the law will be brought against the suspect.
