Rezul News/10744586
ABINGDON, Va. - Rezul -- Jan-Carol Publishing, Inc., of Blountville, Tennessee, is thrilled to announce the release of For the Love of Virginia Beef by Angela White Ball.
Author Angela White Ball, PhD, grew up on a beef cattle farm in Russell County, Virginia—the heart of Southwest Virginia. This farm, Virginia Century Farm, is still operated by her family today. Angela studied agricultural and applied economics and agricultural education at Virginia Tech and has spent her career in public service supporting agriculture and natural resource protection. She now lives on Ball Farms, LLC in Russell County, where her family raises commercial beef cattle, hair sheep, and American Quarter Horses. She wrote this book to showcase and celebrate Virginia's beef cattle industry and the dedicated farm families behind it, hoping to inspire children to learn how beef makes its journey from the farm to their table.
For the Love of Virginia Beef journeys through the seasons of beef cattle production, visiting 25 of Virginia's top beef counties. It captures the grit, rhythm, and devotion behind raising beef, revealing the life of cattle, the farm families who sustain them, and the nourishing beef and essential byproducts they ultimately provide. The book includes interactive features such as activity breaks, movement prompts, and extra facts, making it flexible for classrooms or home learning.
