Officer T. Leming, PIO, emphasized that there is no excuse for impaired driving. With technology making it easier than ever to find a safe ride home, choosing to drive while under the influence is not only unnecessary but also potentially devastating. Rideshare services, taxis, public transportation, and even a call or text to a friend or family member are all viable alternatives to putting oneself and others at risk.

In light of this incident, Officer Leming urges individuals who may be impaired to put down their keys and pick up their phone instead. A ride home may cost a few dollars or require an inconvenient phone call, but driving while impaired can cost someone their life. Let's all make responsible decisions and prioritize safety on our roads.
