RNHA Florida & Latinos GOP Mobilize Relief Support For Colombia Following Devastating 7.4 Magnitude Earthquake

South Florida's Conservative Hispanic Leadership Steps Forward with Humanitarian Coordination
DORAL, Fla. - Rezul -- The Republican National Hispanic Assembly - Florida (RNHA Florida) extends its deepest condolences to the people of Colombia and the families affected by this morning's devastating earthquake. According to Fox Weather, a magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck western Colombia at 7:34 a.m. local time near San José del Palmar, with a depth of approximately 66.5 miles. With at least 74 confirmed deaths, hundreds injured, and thousands displaced—particularly in the coffee-growing regions of Risaralda, Manizales, and along the Pacific coast—we grieve with our Colombian hermanos y hermanas during this critical time.
"As a native Colombian, my heart breaks to see this devastating tragedy affecting so many families across Colombia. My prayers are with the victims, their loved ones, and every community facing the aftermath of this earthquake," said Marta Mesa, Vice Chair of the RNHA Florida and Founder of Latinos GOP. "In this difficult hour, Colombia must come together as one. Our people need our prayers, our compassion, and our action. I will work with other organizations and local leaders to help ensure that donations and relief efforts reach the affected areas and the families who need them most. 🇨🇴🙏"

She added, "I'm pleased to see our new President, Abelardo de la Espriella, immediately mobilizing national and international relief efforts and embracing innovative technology to strengthen emergency response. I look forward to seeing these efforts continue, together with the support of First Lady Ana Lucía Pineda, as Colombia begins the difficult work of rescue, recovery, and rebuilding."
RNHA National Secretary & Florida Chair, Barbara Casanova (https://www.facebook.com/CasanovaGOP/), stated, "As South Florida-based conservative Hispanic leadership organizations, RNHA Florida and Latinos GOP are uniquely positioned to bridge South Florida's vibrant Colombian community with relief and recovery efforts. We are committed to coordinating emergency humanitarian aid and have begun outreach to South Florida's Colombian diaspora with legitimate relief organizations that provide direct support in affected regions, collecting donations, and arranging flights of medical supplies directly to those coordinating relief efforts."
