Furman Brothers Named to Exclusive List of Most Profitable Family-Owned Businesses Locally
BRYN MAWR, Pa. - Rezul -- Area Real Estate Brokers Brett and Scott Furman, Co-Owners of RE/MAX Classic on the Main Line are proud to be named to the Philadelphia Business Journals List of Largest Family-Owned Businesses in Greater Philadelphia.
On Sunday, October 17, 2021, the Business Journal published "The List", celebrating companies from our region that ranked, by employees, with the opportunity to report revenue information in 2020. RE/MAX Classic was among the publicly recognized on the award-winning list, ranked at 51, and will also be included in the Philadelphia Business Journals annual "Book of Lists".
The brothers established RE/MAX Classic 31 years ago with a common goal of creating a successful real estate office. "Making this impressive list is really an honor. We are proud of what we do and to be recognized for our efforts feels great." Brett Furman stated. He went on to say, "Experience matters now more than ever." Scott Furman asserted "Our offices average year to date volume per agent is $11,333,120 which equates to over 39 transactions per agent. The Furman's revel in being a family business. Having worked in the real estate industry for a combined 75+ years, helping over 2,500 families on the Main Line and around the Philadelphia area purchase and sell homes.
So, what is the benefit of having a business partner who is also your sibling? "We just know how to get the job done!" says Brett Furman. He continued, "No one person can do it all on their own. We concentrate on the big picture and retain a good work and family relationship while focusing on the skill set we each excel at to move toward our dream of a lasting sibling partnership." Scott Furman added "It's an ideal collaboration of playing to our strengths." The siblings make decisions together that shape and effect the company, choosing what is best for the business rather than what's always best for themselves. "Effective, frequent communication expressing our feelings, opinions and ideas, as well as good listening skills" are the keys to our success said Scott Furman.
