ProEdison Launches ProWave, a Free COMTRADE Viewer

MOUNT SINAI, N.Y. - Rezul -- ProEdison LLC today announced the release of ProWave™, a free COMTRADE viewer and modern waveform fault analysis tool built specifically for protection and control engineers. ProWave reads IEEE C37.111 COMTRADE records (1999/2013, ASCII and binary) generated by protection relays, giving engineering teams a single, consistent environment to analyze power system faults regardless of relay manufacturer.

Protection groups have long depended on a patchwork of aging, vendor-specific utilities to open and analyze fault records.
