Oakcrest Outdoors Releases Free Hurricane Prep Guide for Trees and Palms in Central Florida
Rezul News/10748041
Orlando landscaping and tree care company Oakcrest Outdoors has published a free hurricane preparedness guide to help homeowners, HOAs, CDDs and commercial properties reduce storm damage from trees, palms and poor drainage.
ORLANDO, Fla. - Rezul -- Oakcrest Outdoors, an Orlando-based landscaping and tree care company, has published a free guide to help Central Florida property owners prepare their trees, palms and drainage for hurricane season.
Much of the property damage seen after Central Florida storms comes from limbs, palm fronds and whole trees that were already weak before the wind arrived, along with flooding from clogged or undersized drainage. The new guide, "Hurricane Prep for Trees and Palms in Central Florida," walks homeowners, HOA and CDD boards, and commercial property managers through practical steps they can take well before a storm is in the forecast.

The guide covers:
"The best time to deal with a hazardous tree is before the storm, not after it," said Leo Velazquez, General Manager of Oakcrest Outdoors. "A little planning in the off-season keeps residents safer, protects property and makes cleanup faster when a storm does come through."
The guide also includes a simple checklist that HOA and CDD boards can bring to their next meeting.
