New Book Alchemized Explores How Trauma Can Become Fuel for Growth
Rezul News/10747380
Kenni King combines personal experience, coaching principles, reflection, and practical strategies to help readers understand old wounds, break harmful patterns, and create lives rooted in choice, self-compassion, and personal agency.
HOUSTON - Rezul -- Trauma can shape how people see themselves, relate to others, set boundaries, and make decisions long after the original experience has passed. In her new book, Alchemized: When the Wound Becomes Wisdom and Trauma Becomes Fuel, author and success coach Kenni King explores what it means to confront painful experiences without allowing them to dictate the rest of one's life.
Drawing from her experiences growing up in an unstable home marked by addiction, violence, premature responsibility, and trauma, King examines how childhood survival strategies can continue into adulthood. These can include hypervigilance, people-pleasing, over-responsibility, self-abandonment, and the impulse to rescue others.
Rather than presenting healing as a simple or linear process, Alchemized explores how people can recognize the patterns that once protected them, understand why they developed, and determine whether they still serve the lives they want to create.

King's central premise is reflected in the title: painful experiences do not have to disappear to be transformed. The wound can become wisdom, and trauma can become fuel.
Through personal stories, reflection, coaching concepts, exercises, and resources, King invites readers to examine beliefs and behaviors that may keep them tied to the past while developing compassion for the ways they learned to survive.
King also challenges traditional recovery language, including the Twelve Steps that once shaped her healing journey. In Alchemized, she rewrites the Twelve Steps to question ideas of powerlessness and character defects, offering instead a framework built around personal agency, support, and accountability.
Readers will learn:
One defining moment in King's story occurs at age 17, when she was struggling physically and emotionally and realized she had reached a critical decision point. She challenged herself to stay alive, heal, and create a different future. That decision became part of the foundation for the philosophy behind Alchemized.

The central message of Alchemized is direct: A person's history may shape them, but it does not have to determine who they become.
King is a Success Coach, Speaker, and Author who helps clients navigate personal and professional challenges and pursue what she describes as soul-led success. She is a certified mastery-level transformation coach, business degree graduate, and entrepreneur.
The book is available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble and other retailers.
