A resource fair with more than 20 participating organizations will connect veterans and community members with support services, according to the city.

"On Veterans Day, we uplift, honor and recognize our veterans for their bravery and sacrifice," Mayor Rex Richardson said, adding that the celebration offers the community an opportunity to show its gratitude.

Ninth District Councilmember Dr. Joni Ricks-Oddie said veterans' contributions continue after their military service and that the community has a responsibility to recognize them and connect them with resources.
