Kansas: Precautionary Boil Water advisory issued for 7600 Block of N Stoddard Avenue
Rezul News/10719735
~ Kansas City Water Issues Precautionary Boil Water Advisory for Local Residents
In a recent press release, KC Water announced that they will be issuing a precautionary boil water advisory for seven customers in the 7600 Block of N Stoddard Avenue. This decision was made out of an abundance of caution due to an issue with shutting off a water main for repairs.
The loss in positive pressure caused by the repairs may result in low water pressure for those affected. However, KC Water assures that the water service in this area will return to normal within the next few hours once the repairs are completed. The advisory, however, will remain in place for at least 24 hours.
As a precautionary measure, KC Water recommends that customers follow certain guidelines during this time. These include boiling drinking water for three minutes before using it to drink, cook, or prepare food. It is also advised not to make ice during the advisory and to use boiled water for brushing teeth. However, tap water is still safe for bathing.
