Juneau: Valley Library, Dimond Park and Trails Will Close August 12 and 13

~ The City and Borough of Juneau has announced the closure of several facilities along the Mendenhall River due to anticipated flood conditions. The closures will take place tomorrow, August 12 through Thursday, August 13 and include the Mendenhall Valley Public Library, Dimond Park Field House, Dimond Park Aquatic Center, as well as nearby fields and trails.
All activities scheduled to take place in these facilities during this time have been cancelled. The closures are in response to potential flooding in the area and are part of the city's preparedness plan.
