~ The Regular Planning Commission held a meeting on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the Assembly Chambers to discuss important matters regarding the development of Tlingit Haida Regional Housing Authority and Echo Ranch Bible Camp. The meeting was a hybrid one, with both in-person and remote participation options available.

Interested parties were able to join the virtual meeting through the Zoom Webinar link provided or by calling in using one of the designated phone numbers. The Webinar ID for this meeting was 868 4722 1296. Those who wished to give public comment during the meeting were required to state their name and place of residence before beginning their testimony. They were also asked to stay on the line after their testimony to answer any questions from the Commission.

For those who were unable to attend the meeting, written comments could be submitted by 12 noon on April 10, 2026. The Planning Commission Meeting agenda was also available for viewing at https://juneauak.portal.civicclerk.com/.

During the meeting, two important matters were discussed - a final plat review for Tlingit Haida Regional Housing Authority and a flood zone exception for Echo Ranch Bible Camp. The final plat review (SMF2026 0001) was requested by THRHA for the first phase of single-family development in a D18 zone. The second matter (FZE2026 0001) involved an applicant's request for a Flood Zone Exception in order to construct a gymnasium/agricultural structure at Echo Ranch Bible Camp in an unnumbered Velocity (V) Zone.
