Jim Thomas Releases Updated Edition of "Comprehensive Risk Management for Gym Owners,"
Rezul News/10747786
a Working Expert Witness's Reference on Gym Safety: Ensuring Safety and Success in Fitness Operations
FLOWER MOUND, Texas - Rezul -- Fitness Management & Consulting announced today the release of a fully revised and updated edition of Comprehensive Risk Management for Gym Owners: Ensuring Safety and Success in Fitness Operations, written by founder Jim Thomas.
The book is a practical reference for gym owners and operators, and for the attorneys, insurers, and risk professionals who work with them. It covers how to identify and assess risk in a fitness facility, the legal foundations of gym operations — liability, negligence, and waivers — how to build a written risk management plan, the documentation that supports it, working with independent trainers and contractors, and how to keep improving the program over time.
Thomas brings more than 35 years in the fitness industry to the subject, as a club owner, operator, and consultant. He has also been retained as an expert witness in more than 40 gym-industry cases, and the book reflects what he sees from both sides of the business: running facilities day to day, and reviewing them after something has gone wrong.

"The operators who manage risk on paper before an incident — inspections written down, staff trained, waivers in order — are the ones still in business after one," Thomas said. "Risk management isn't paperwork for its own sake. It's how you protect your members, your staff, and the business you built."
The updated edition is available now through the Fitness Management & Consulting online store: https://www.fmconsulting.net/shop/ebooks/comprehensive-risk-management-for-gym-owners-ensuring-safety-and-success-in-fitness-operations/
