Hunters Run Fitness Challenge: A Step Forward In Employee Wellness

Recognizing the need for a proactive approach to employee wellness, Hunters Run Country Club introduced its New Year Fitness Challenge: an eight-week initiative designed to encourage employees to adopt healthier habits, build strength, and improve their overall vitality. As a tangible pledge to employee health, the Hunters Run Fitness Challenge was designed to be inclusive and motivating. The program was divided into three categories, allowing participants to compete in ways that suited their fitness levels. To further incentivize participation, the 70 employees who signed up for the program had the chance to win $200 in each category, making the challenge all the more spirited.

"This initiative proved to be more than just a short-term event; it's a long-term commitment to fostering a healthier, more energized workforce," said Robbie Melkes, Human Resources Assistant. Emily Roeckle, Director of People and Culture, added, "By taking this step forward, Hunters Run is setting a new standard for employee wellness, cultivating an environment where employees feel supported in their fitness journeys."

Hunters Run offered helpful suggestions throughout the eight-week challenge to keep participants on track. These included staying consistent with workouts, incorporating strength training, and stretching after every session to prevent injuries. Employees were encouraged to stay hydrated, focus on nutrient-dense foods, and choose healthy snacks to maintain energy levels throughout the day.
