FORT COLLINS ~ Fort Collins was abuzz with excitement today as Governor Polis made a special visit to Colorado State University. The purpose of his visit was to celebrate the grand opening of the Advanced Technology Lasers for Applications and Science (ATLAS) Facility, which is set to be a hub for cutting-edge science and renewable energy research.

The new 77,626-square-foot research building, located on the CSU Foothills Campus, is expected to be a game-changer in the field of science and technology. Governor Polis expressed his enthusiasm for the facility, stating that it will not only support students and innovation but also solidify Colorado's position as a leader in the tech industry.

In addition to attending the grand opening of ATLAS, Governor Polis also took part in the groundbreaking ceremony for the Julie and Barney Feinblum Herb Garden at Colorado State University. This garden will provide students with hands-on experience in growing herbs used for medicine, food, and teas.

According to Governor Polis, this herb garden will serve as a living laboratory for students to explore the countless applications plants have in supporting health and science. He also expressed his gratitude towards Julie and Barney Feinblum for their contribution towards creating more opportunities for Colorado students to learn and grow.
