DENVER ~ Denver - Governor Jared Polis attended the Voices of Rural Colorado event today to discuss the progress being made in the state to support rural communities. During his speech, Governor Polis emphasized the importance of rural Colorado and expressed his pride in the work being done to support these communities. He highlighted some of the key investments being made, including repaving over 555 miles of rural roads by 2025 and lowering the cost of housing. He also mentioned plans for a mountain passenger rail to improve transportation options for rural residents.
Despite facing federal barriers such as tariffs and President Trump's veto of funding for a critical water project in Eastern Colorado, Governor Polis remains committed to improving the lives of rural Coloradans.
