~ In a recent announcement, Governor Greg Abbott has appointed two individuals to the Texas Advisory Committee on Geopolitical Conflict. Joshlin "Josh" Lewis and Michael Lucci will serve on the committee for terms set to expire on September 1, 2027.

The purpose of the committee is to develop state security strategies and policies in preparation for potential geopolitical conflicts. It also aims to gather and organize information that can aid in enhancing Texas' command-and-control functions in the event of a conflict.

Joshlin "Josh" Lewis, a resident of Ovilla, brings a wealth of experience to the committee. He currently serves as the senior director of network quality at Optimum and has been a member of the United States Air Force since 1999. Lewis is also actively involved in various organizations such as the National Guard Association of Texas, National Guard Association of the United States, and the International Information System Security Certification Consortium. In his free time, he volunteers as a small group leader at Midlothian Bible Church. Lewis holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Lamar University, a Master of Business Administration from Webster University, and a National Security Management Certification from Syracuse University.

Joining Lewis on the committee is Michael Lucci from Leander. Lucci is the chief executive officer of State Armor Research and State Armor Action. He previously served as chairman of the board of directors for Chicago Virtual Charter School. Lucci holds a Bachelor of Arts in Honors Philosophy from the University of Notre Dame.

Both Lewis and Lucci bring valuable expertise and diverse backgrounds to their roles on the Texas Advisory Committee on Geopolitical Conflict. Their appointments will play an important role in ensuring that Texas is well-prepared for any potential conflicts that may arise in the future.
