Governor Abbott Appoints Hayes, Yelovich To Texas State Board Of Plumbing Examiners

~ In a recent announcement, Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Julia Hayes and reappointed Dave Yelovich to the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners. Their terms are set to expire on September 5, 2031.
The Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners is responsible for licensing master plumbers, journeymen, plumbers, and plumbing inspectors. With their extensive experience and expertise in the field, Hayes and Yelovich are expected to make valuable contributions to the board.
Julia Hayes hails from Beaumont and is a certified public accountant. She currently serves as a shareholder at Lawrence, Blackburn, Meek, Maxey & Co., P.C. Her professional affiliations include membership in the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TXCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). She also serves as a director for the Catholic Foundation of the Diocese of Beaumont, Inc and has previously held a director position on the AICPA Peer Review Board. Hayes holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Lamar University.

Dave Yelovich, who resides in Friendswood, brings over 40 years of experience in the home building industry to his role as code and compliance advisor for Tilson Custom Home Builders. He is an active member of various professional organizations such as the National Association of Home Builders, Texas Association of Builders, and Greater Houston Builders Association. Yelovich also shares his knowledge with industry professionals through technical training classes at local home building associations in Texas. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Sciences from Texas A&M University.
