Gogetop Marketing Introduces RedNote-to-WeChat Framework for International Brands

WESTMINSTER, U.K. - Rezul -- Gogetop Marketing has introduced a RedNote-to-WeChat framework to help international brands understand how the two platforms can support different stages of the Chinese customer journey.
RedNote, also known as Xiaohongshu or Little Red Book, is widely used for lifestyle discovery, search, recommendations and consumer research. WeChat can support direct enquiries, customer service, lead management, consultations and longer-term customer relationships.
"International brands often ask whether they should choose RedNote or WeChat," said Ms Micky Liu, China Marketing Manager at Gogetop Marketing. "RedNote can help consumers discover and evaluate a brand, while WeChat can provide an official environment for continued communication."
Gogetop Marketing stresses that cross-platform marketing must be designed around platform compliance. Brands cannot simply publish or send telephone numbers, WeChat IDs, website addresses or QR codes through ordinary RedNote content, comments or private messages. Businesses must follow RedNote's current policies and use approved commercial products, such as its official advertising and lead-generation tools, where applicable.

WeChat provides businesses with more established options for presenting official company information, publishing contact and service details, handling enquiries and developing customer relationships through Official Accounts, Video Accounts, Mini Programs and enterprise tools.
A strong WeChat content presence may also support future AI visibility. Tencent's Yuanbao AI assistant can search information from Tencent ecosystem sources, including WeChat Official Accounts and Video Accounts, giving brands another reason to publish accurate, useful and searchable content within WeChat.
"The objective is not unauthorised traffic diversion," Ms Liu said. "It is to build a compliant journey in which consumers can discover a brand, verify it and communicate through the correct official channels."
