Georgia: Gov. Kemp: Red Cat's Blue Ops, Inc. to Bring Hundreds of New Jobs with Lowndes County Manufacturing Facility
Rezul News/10732999
ATLANTA ~ In a recent announcement, Governor Brian P. Kemp revealed that Blue Ops, Inc. will be investing $30 million in a new manufacturing facility in Valdosta, Georgia. This investment is expected to create over 200 jobs in Lowndes County over the next few years. Blue Ops is the maritime division of Red Cat Holdings, Inc., a U.S.-based company that specializes in advanced drone and robotic solutions for defense and national security.
Governor Kemp expressed his excitement about this new development, stating that Georgia's focus on workforce development, reliable infrastructure, and pro-business environment has attracted job creators to all parts of the state. He believes that this investment by Blue Ops will bring great opportunities for families in Valdosta-Lowndes County.
Blue Ops will be leasing the former Regal Boats facility at 601 Gil Harbin Industrial Boulevard in Valdosta. The 155,000-square-foot facility will be used to manufacture the company's uncrewed surface vessels (USVs). The company plans to hire up to 100 people by 2026 and interested individuals can learn more about job opportunities at blueops.com. Blue Ops' recent partnership with HADDY will also accelerate their USV manufacturing capacity, creating a demand for hiring personnel to complete the production process after the hulls are built using large-scale 3D printers.
