For Garage Sale Day: Here is a painting about Art and Garage Sales that says "Some art Sells For Millions, Some Art Won't even sell at a Garage Sale"
Rezul News/10742183
Attn: Art Editors, Art Magazines, Art Galleries, Art Museums, Art Dealers, Art Auctions, Art Collectors, Art Curators, Art Critics, plus Artists and Art Lovers everywhere: Here is one of several paintings by Robert M. Barrows that ask some very interesting questions about things like art prices, art auctions and the art market in general.
SAN MATEO, Calif. - Rezul -- National Garage Sale Day is celebrated on the second Saturday of August, and in celebration of Garage Sale Day, here is painting by Robert M. Barrows that says "Some art Sells For Millions, Some Art Won't even sell at a Garage Sale."
Barrows has also done several more paintings that also ask some interesting questions about the art market:
Those paintings are paintings of the statements and questions as follows:
1) If this painting becomes worth hundreds of millions after I die, how much can I get for it NOW?
2) At a multimillion dollar art auction...Does the second place bidder breathe a sigh of relief, or a sigh of regret?
3) How much do you think the Price Guarantor(s) guaranteed on this painting?
4) I've got those Starving Artist Blues"
NOW, REGARDING ART PRICES:
How much do you think Michelangelo's "David" or the "Mona Lisa" might go for at an art auction some day?

AND, REGARDING ART AS AN INVESTMENT...
1) Is it only for the super rich?
2) Is there any way that ordinary income people can participate?
3) Are only famous name artists worth buying? And at what cost?
4) How would you compare art as an investment with real estate, jewelry or stocks and bonds?
5) How much art should be in your portfolio, or, should any art be in your portfolio?
6) What kind of insurance do you have to carry if you just bought a hundred million dollar piece of art?
7) And...can an artist set up a fund to sell futures in their own art, and what are the regulations concerning those kinds of transactions?
PLUS...FOR COMPANIES IN THE ART BUSINESS:
Barrows has also developed a proposal for a very special kind of art promotion that could help generate tremendous publicity and tremendous new revenues for art galleries, art museums, art publications, and general mass media as well. The proposal is for a "Name This Piece of Art and Win Money" Promotion for a piece of sculpture he did.
You can see more about the "Name This Piece" promotion and download a brochure about it at http://www.barrows.com/ntp-1.html
