Domestic Abuse Survivor Presents Original Tribute in Honor of L. Ron Hubbard, Promoting Hope Amid Mental-Health Challenges
Rezul News/10743190
BAY HEAD, N.J. - Rezul -- As mental-health challenges, loneliness, and emotional isolation continue affecting millions of Americans, Honduran-born artist, healthcare professional, and domestic abuse survivor Lorena Ramos is transforming her own journey into one of hope and resilience through art. Inspired by reading Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health, Ramos recently visited the historic Bay Head residence where the book was authored to present an original painting honoring its author, L. Ron Hubbard, whose work she credits with helping her overcome personal adversity.
According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), one in three adults experiences loneliness, while one in four lacks adequate social and emotional support—conditions associated with poorer mental and physical health. To combat this situation Ms. Ramos regularly hosts workshops for aspiring artists to bring people together to foster inspiration, emotional well-being, and human connection.

Ramos, whose artwork is inspired by her own experiences overcoming abuse and hardship, said studying Dianetics profoundly influenced her life. Wanting to honor the work that inspired her, she created an original painting entitled "From the Reactive Echo to Clarity," reflecting on how unresolved past experiences can shape present emotions and behavior.
Presenting the painting, Ramos stated:
"This painting was inspired by L. Ron Hubbard while studying concepts about the reactive mind and how past experiences can influence our emotions and behaviors without us always being aware of it. The question that inspired this painting is simple: How often are we reacting to the past while believing we are responding to the present?"
Ramos explained that her mission as an artist is to encourage survivors of abuse, trauma, and personal adversity through creativity, hope, and perseverance. Her guiding philosophy, "Never let fear hold you back; what hurt you yesterday is what makes you stronger today," reflects both her personal journey and her commitment to uplifting others.
