This development has been welcomed by Mayor Yemi Mobolade, who believes that public safety is crucial for a thriving city. "Today's announcement is a significant win for Colorado Springs," stated Mayor Mobolade. "It reflects our shared commitment to keeping our community safe and well-served."

Chief Royal expressed his gratitude towards Mayor Mobolade and City Council for allocating funds to ensure that the department can maintain its strength and readiness. "As your Fire Chief, I am committed to keeping our response times and staffing numbers at optimal levels to serve our community with excellence," he stated.
