Colorado Springs: Burn Restrictions Rescinded

Rezul News/10736555
~ Colorado Springs, CO - After recent moisture and favorable weather forecasts, the Colorado Springs Fire Department Fire Marshal, Kris Cooper, has lifted burn restrictions within the city. The order will go into effect on Friday, May 29, 2026 at 12 p.m.

According to Cooper, the recent moisture in the region has led to a significant recovery of dry fuels and a decrease in the immediate risk of wildfire activity within city limits. Additionally, both short and long-range forecasting models from the National Weather Service are predicting above-normal precipitation over the next three months, further reducing fire danger concerns.
