DENVER ~ In a recent development, Governor Polis has urged the Sheridan School District Superintendent and Sheridan Education Association President to resume negotiations and bring students and teachers back to the classroom without delay.
During a meeting today, Governor Polis emphasized the importance of prioritizing student learning and success. He expressed concern over the ongoing strike, which is causing disruptions in the education of students from families who cannot afford to miss any more instructional days.

Governor Polis called upon all parties involved - including the Sheridan School District Superintendent, Sheridan School Board, and Sheridan Education Association - to engage in productive discussions and reach a mutually beneficial agreement.
